The DAMAC Properties owner, Hussain Sajwani has found himself as one of the leading luxury real estate developers in the world after only entering the market in 2002 in the desert city of Dubai. Now a popular member of the luxury real estate sector who finds himself a business partner of U.S. President Donald Trump and invited guest to the Davos summit of business and political leaders, Hussain Sajwani is seeking different ways of building a successful company in the 21st-century; one aspect of the luxury real estate sector the DAMAC owner has pioneered is partnerships with lifestyle and aspirational brands close to the heart of his elite list of clients.
The finest examples of his business partnerships come in the form of three of the latest developments Sajwani has begun in his home market of the United Arab Emirates and the U.K. capital of London. Until the last few years, the former food services entrepreneur has focused his efforts on the UAE but is now seeking new areas of interest in the European and Middle Eastern markets.
Not one to shy away from a challenge, Hussain Sajwani entered the London luxury real estate market at a time when the development of this sector was offering some controversy but he found a way to plan one of the most luxurious developments in the history of this ancient city. The AYKON Nine Elms project is a luxury development offering a fashion-focused range of options created by DAMAC’s partner in the venture, Versace Home, which is thought to be the first fashion partnership in the real estate sector.
A more traditional approach to developing luxury real estate is still being explored in the UAE by the Hussain Sajwani family who has explored a partnership with the Trump Organization in the construction of two golf course resorts. Offering condos and villas, the Trump International Golf Club Dubai opened in 2017 and has proven a commercial and critical success for both partners in the project and course architect Tiger Woods. A second Trump branded golf course development will open on the outskirts of Dubai in 2018.
